I have posted some brick wall and stone textures before, but here is another and more comprehensive set of such stock photos:

As usual, you can download the high resolution images (for free) by clicking on the low-res pics. Natural brick wall textures contain quite a bit of detail, so downloading may be a bit slow.

From a design point of view - aren´t these colorful old brick walls beautiful?

The image below contains two rusty nails - thought I include it here among the textures, see what you can do with it:

(If you are looking for photos of rust or grunge textures btw, check out the free stock images of rusty metal.)

After some close-up photographs a few pictures of large brick walls - they make good backgrounds.

Many of the old brick walls here are built with handmade bricks; the last one of each day was usually marked by the worker (not sure what to make out of it, though):

Within a few miles, one comes along a huge color range with all different kinds of red:

Look at the variety of red color in this image:

A bit in the grunge category as well, today some aged wicker textures:

As usual, click to download the free stock image (I better mention it as there are designers coming here who flock through the pages but don´t seem to know how to download the photos).

A close-up wicker texture to add some vintage mood to your designs:

The following is not exactly wicker, but I thought I´ll add that woven fiber texture here too, makes nice backgrounds:

As usual you can download every stock image by clicking on the lower-resolution photos here. Today dark background textures of steel and grunge:

The design people visiting this web site the past days mainly had a fancy for metal textures, so I´ll try to get some more up the next days.

And another image in this GRUNGE series:

More metal textures: Two photo backgrounds of blue paint and rust (click to download free stock image).

And another photograph of a rusty metal chain (this image has some out of focus areas, which may be useful in a design regarding copy space, so see what you can do with it):

Because the designers coming here seem to like those metal textures, let´s continue with it:

And two more free stock images which make good backgrounds, similar color for some consistency in quick web site design.

(Click and download the hi-res photo.)

Following the previous two metal textures which already got some downloads, here another stock photo you may find useful (makes a nice web site background, too):

As a designer, one can´t have enough textures and backgrounds. Some stock photos of rusty metal with interesting pattern:

I liked the color in this image, so I put it in as well:

Not really my favourite form of fencing, but designers seem to have uses for barb wire stock images, so here are some:

And a close-up photo of a rusty piece of wire fence one definitely would not like to get stuck in (but it makes good backgrounds):

A really GREEN stock photo, produced nearly carbon-dioxide neutral: I carried the tripod (and I´m into substantial tripods…) for a whole day instead of driving it around in a car. So, even if this website is about free stock images, there´s some honest sweat involved.
Todays free stock images are about bricks and stones, probably useful as textures in designs or as web site backgrounds:

The colors of this stone wall are just lovely, click to download the high res image:

Another stone wall texture, as a website background maybe less intrusive:
